What’s App has launched the recent update with the fingerprint lock for the smartphones. The feature is quite similar to Touch ID on iPhones or One Plus smartphones.

After a long time of testing and months of beta testing, What’s App has finally launched a new feature. What’s App allows Android users to add a fingerprint unlock authentication. Hence, now you can secure your conversations with a layer of biometric security. This also means that you can bid adieu to all those third-party apps which you were required to use, to protect your conversation and privacy.

Recently, what’s app has announced the fingerprint Lock for all its Android users. The feature also came out previously to Iphones where What’s App allowed it’s users to lock the app with Touch ID or Face ID. But, now it has also launched the Touch ID for Android users as well.

Now, what are you waiting for? Go to the Play Store and ‘Update’ the newer version of What’s App. Once updated, here are the steps to follow to integrate the fingerprint lock system –

  • On the right-hand side, click on ‘three dots’ given there.
  • Once you have clicked, you will see an option of Settings in the down-bar menu.
  • Click on it and a new window will be opened. You will see a new option of ‘Fingerprint Lock’.
  • Click on that option and you can do the necessary set-up as told in the instructions.
