The biggest known weapon in the history of the world was MOAB – Massive Ordnance Air Bust. It was developed by U.S.A in late 2000. U.S.A army’s arsenal was equipped with it since then. But it was never used in any front line battlefield until yesterday.

After it’s development and successful test in 2000, it became popular as Mother Of All Bombs. Owing to its huge weight of 21,000 pounds. It was a 30 feet non-nuclear weapon ever developed by the mankind. This massive weapon creates a blast radius stretching a mile in each direction. MOAB was made out of very thin aluminum skin to maximize the blast. In order to overcome the difficulty of guiding this massive missile towards its target, fins were attached to its tail. During the launch these fins are folded forward onto the bomb, to make a very compact design for carriage when the weapon is deployed.
