Evade the Ordinary
Evade the Ordinary

IIT Kanpur is proud to present IIT Kanpur’s edition of TEDx, scheduled on 7th April 2019 at 9 am. TEDx is central to our ideology of fostering innovation and building a cradle and a for new ideas and technologies. An essential step for our goal is to ignite inspiring ideas that reach out to a wide range of subjects, to champion learning and disseminate knowledge, to provoke conversations that matter and, at its core, to evade the ordinary.

TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading.”

The theme for the event is – ‘Evade the Ordinary’ highlighting the extraordinary set of TED speakers from diverse fields like education, science, technology, art and culture who have accomplished tasks that were not ordinary.

This year, TEDx IIT Kanpur will provide a platform to some of the most iconic names including:

Nitasha Biswas, Miss India Trans queen; Evan Luthra, an entrepreneur and a UN speaker who is running his own business from the age of 12;  Neeraj Narayanan a.k.a Captain Nero, known for his famous adventures around the globe; Divya Rawat, the Mushroom lady who was awarded Nari Shakti award in 2016 by President of India; and more.

To entertain the crowd and make the event even more unforgettable, we have also planned amazing performances from renowned artists like Abhar Srivastava, the classical artist, and some mesmerizing poetry from Hindi Nama Team as well.

Do join us for the event!
