Whether we accept or deny the fact, a human life is incomplete without hope. This little flame of hope is lit immortally in all our hearts from the very birth. It has gained a damn significant place in our lives that we cannot even breathe a moment without it. Though we remain unaware of it, we don’t even sleep without it.
Every night before we are off for the day we have a hope of a next morning. Every night brings us the hope of a fresh light that the new day would bring with it. There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope. Hope is not just a feeling of expectation or desire for a particular thing to happen. Its a feeling of trust that we have on time and the unknown power ruling the world, the power that would help us get things done the way we wish them to be.
The flame of hope in our heart is a beginning of good things in our lives. There is a verse from the Holy Bible that encourages us to be hopeful and optimistic through all the good and bad; even and odd circumstances of life. “We can have hope in life no matter what surrounds us because we serve the almighty God who cares, knows us by names, understands the desire of our heart, and who knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb.”
Years ago, in my talk me to bed saga my mommy narrated me a story of a flame of hope. This is the incident that penetrated my mind with an idea of writing about hope. The story was about four candles in a room where three of them go out of their flame giving different excuses. A child seeing the room dark starts crying out of fear. The fourth candle consoles the child and helps him lit the remaining candles saying that it is the hope. This candle is now known as the flame of hope.
Hopes shapes our methods of traversing through various situations and it has been found that the hopeful people are the masters of better problem-solving abilities when compared to their counterparts of low abilities. Being hopeful means having the ability to imagine positive outcomes and expect better off things in hard times. A very good example of a hopeful man is a man under medication. You’d be surprised to realise that a man having a hope to recover would be cured fastly with a low dose while a man with no hope will take longer to get cured even with a stronger dose of medicines.
While optimism remains the faith that leads to achievements. Hope and confidence still remain an essential ingredient for success. We must all have guts to accept a finite failure but never lose aa infinite hope because this is something that would take you to the peak that you dream for.
