The stalemate in relation to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan after the results of Rajasthan elections is now over. After the two-day meeting of the Congress high command, finally, on Friday, Ashok Gehlot’s name has been announced for the post of Chief Minister. Sachin Pilot has been made Deputy Chief Minister of the state.
This time Congress has adopted a Deputy CM formula in Rajasthan. Since the announcement of the election on the late night of December 11, the debate and tension were on the Chief Minister’s name. Rajasthan’s Chief Minister has been given the responsibility of Ashok Gehlot, while Sachin Pilot has been made Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Sachin will also be the President of the state Congress Committee.
It was told in the press conference that after discussions with all the leaders and MLAs, a decision was taken with the consensus that the state’s Chief Minister would be Ashok Gehlot. With him, Sachin Pilot will be made Deputy CM. The decision was taken on behalf of the party president on Friday after meetings of senior Congress leaders who had been staying at Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s residence for two days.
