Nowadays Rafale deal becomes a major controversy through the supreme court gives the clean chit to the government on the procurement of 36 Rafale jets from the country France.
In April 2015 PM Narendra Modi had announced that India will buy 36 Rafale fighter jets from France. This step was taken to for the betterment of national security.

About 15 percent of this cost is already paid in advance. There is a political issue raised because of this deal as Congress accused the government of causing loss to taxpayers, money by signing the deal. It also claimed that Anil Ambani -Reliance Defence Limited is picked French company which charges a lot. Congress alleged that the cost of each aircraft is three times more than what the previous UPA had negotiated with France in 2012.
