Summer vacations are on toll and almost every family has decided to set their bags for a round trip either set in the hill stations or down south in our country or probably packing a heavy bag for having a memorable foreign experience. Discussing this we always come to think of one anomalous question of what would a foreigner usually pack when he/she visits our country which is subtly sometimes different from ours? This can be a list of our expectations:
This is something that you will definitely find in a foreigner’s bag because as much as enticing the ‘gol-gappas’ and the other street food sounds, this becomes one hell of a thing to upset stomach. As we all know how strong the doses are in India even for a minor flu, it’s better to carry a whole stack of medicines as precaution is always better than cure.
As hilarious as it sounds, no one can help themselves in the times of urgency but to return to their original reforms no matter what the time and place is. Remember when you were desperately finding a source of water when you stepped in to the bathroom of a foreign hotel but cried your guts out when you couldn’t find one. Well just reverse the situation for a foreigner. Yes, it’s that perilous.
- SUMMER CLOTHES
Forget when December or January, summer clothes are something you will always notice in their bag rather you would sport wearing them every time, specially the tourists from the northern and western parts of the world. Winter for us specially area around the NCR region is a blessed weather for them explaining the contradiction.
- SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Well there is no doubt if we conjure up to the fact that safety equipment like a mini knife or pepper spray is found with almost every tourist no matter how buffed up he/she is. Research is done by every person while forthcoming to a vacation preparation which also includes a country’s reputation. In such circumstances and with such rate of increasing crimes and the incredulous stares that we give them as if they are some alien forms do elevate the sense of insecurity among them causing the safety equipment to be a mandatory thing on the list.
- EXTRA LOAD OF CASH
Something which is again out of my understanding is the extra money that is asked from foreigners for every possible thing. Ranging from an auto rickshaw to a government authorized tour of an archaeological site, everything is hyped for them as if every penny of their salary comes from their funding only. From anything that ranges to Rs.20 for us would range up to Rs. 120 for them leaving no stone turned for them to bargain which compels them to carry an extra stash of money spotted in a foreigner’s than already highly anticipated.
