The first trailer of Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor is out. Noor, directed by Sunhil Sippy, is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz‘s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me! . The story revolves around noor’s misadventures – some happy, some sad. While the novel — as the name says it — was set in Karachi, the setting of Noor has been changed to Mumbai.
Here sonakshi is introduced as a happy-go-lucky girl in mumbai . She is playing the leading role as a journalist. If you are a journalist — or any other profession with crazy deadlines, demanding bosses, a group of friends whose answer to everything is booze. She is in that situation in the movie. She works here with two co-actors Canan Gill and Purab Kohli.
The first part of trailer starts with her struggling with her love life and weight issues. But the second part is the turning point where she realizes that it’s time to undo the mistakes she has made.
“The film is based on that book but we have changed it to Mumbai setting… I feel every girl in fact some boys will be able to relate to it in some way or the other. It is a like able and relatable character.” Sonakshi said. After the failure of ‘Akira’, she becomes choosy to select roles and she has found this role challenging.
“And its a wrap! Thank you for letting me be ‘Noor’ Sunhil Sippy and Vikram Malhotra! Not just a film… it was an experience! Will miss being her,” Sonakshi tweeted.
While there are many reasons to keep us excited about this film, we are also keen to know about the song that Sonakshi has been prepping up for. As reported, the actor has collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh and Badshah for a special number for Noor.
Noor’ is slated to release on April 21, 2017
