It was a joy and sweet sound of Viking’s claps everywhere inside the Spartak stadium in Moscow as Messi leading Argentina faced the tournament debutant Iceland. But Debutant frustrated Mighty Argentina as drew (1,1) this draw celebrated much more vigorously in Reykjavik( Iceland Capital) than in Buenos Aries.

Iceland earnt this by from keeping starting they look solid in defence but shortly felt behind in the 19th minute beautiful strike by Sergio Aguero his first in the world cup but Iceland replied very soon just after 5 minutes and equalised thanks to the goal from Alfred Finnbogason as the took advantage of vulnerable defence of Argentina.

Then Iceland never looked back in the game and made their defence tighter, keeping their entire defence behind the ball and swarming the Argentina attackers mainly targeting the Argentina superstar Lionel Messi

Argentina got the brilliant chance to get back in the game and to took the lead in the second half when Sergio Aguero went down after a Collison and earned a penalty but Messi penalty was saved by Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson who probably had a game of this life and played a big role in keeping Messi quiet.

Iceland showed no sign of being tiring and keep the defensive pressure on the Argentina Attackers and rather they, again and again, showed to the courage and go forward to take the lead. They shut down every effort of Argentina to win the game.

At the end both teams took the each one- one point in their bag to keeping their chances alive to quality in the next round in very tough group to pass which having other 2 teams like Croatia and Nigeria both of the team play each other later in the night. Argentina will next Thursday Croatia and Iceland will take on Nigeria making group D tight very tight.
