Bloodbath by Lynch Mobs
In India, lynchings generally reflect internal tensions between numerous ethnic communities in the country. In Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy S.P. Mohammad Ayub Pandith beaten to death near Jamia Masjid when he was doing his duty. There is a tremendous increase in these cases since 2014. The government is not taking any strict action against these people. These bloodthirsty mobs have formed at different times, in different states — in Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Haryana, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, J&K. But our police and government are insufficient to handle this. The randomness of the violence, its apparent banality, makes it more difficult to prevent and to address. The lynching is carried out by the mob, but the mob is emboldened by the state.
Sociologists and social scientists reject the identification of caste with racial discrimination and attribute it to intra-racial ethnocultural conflict. The mob gets agitated by different factors but it is the responsibility of government, police and common people to avoid these types of situations as it will destroy our country and the world.
