Irfan Khan has decided to send Starr ‘Doob’ (not the flowers BED) to Bangladesh officially for the Oscars. According to the report of the Hollywood Reporter, the film, directed by Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui, was initially banned in Bangladesh.
However, it will now compete in the 91st Academy Awards in the form of a foreign language made in foreign language.
Due to the news of the existence of Bangladesh’s late writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed, ‘doob’ was in disputes. Farooqi had refused to be based on the biography of the film. Later, the Bangladesh Censor Board approved it. It was released on October 27, 2017. Khan is in the lead role in the film.
Indian artist Parno Mitra and Nusrat Imroz Tisha and Bangladeshi artist Rukaiya Prachi are in other roles. The Oscars Award ceremony will be held on February 24, 2019.
