Alongside the group audio calling feature on WhatsApp for iOS, the WhatsApp beta for Android has received a new update that brings the useful Select All option. This feature lets you easily select all the new messages and mark them as read/unread or archive all your chats with a single tap. Further, you can mute notifications for all your recent WhatsApp conversations. You can also quickly delete all the chats with this new option. In order to use this latest feature, you will need to get the WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.18.160 or higher on your device.

The feature can be availed with WhatsApp beta for Android app by signing for the beta programme on Google Play.

The new feature has the interface like normal voice calls. There are options for speaker, mute and video call below the profile pictures of participants. There’s no info on how many contacts you can have in one call, and only a handful number of iPhone users have received the feature so far.
