Delhi’s air quality is on the verge of reaching ‘critical’ level due to burning pollution in neighboring areas and due to adverse weather conditions, the construction work was banned on Thursday in the national capital. Officials gave this information.
According to the data of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s overall air quality index was recorded at 393, which falls under very poor category and is only seven points below the category of severe.
AQI 416 was recorded in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida, which falls under “Severe” category whereas in Ghaziabad and Greater Noida Air quality “very poor” has been registered. 217 of the presence of particulate matter PM 2.5 in the air was recorded. According to the CPCB data, the level of PM10 in Delhi is 368.
