The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is reportedly mulling to relax norms of the board exams for differently and specially-abled students. As per reports, CBSE is preparing a draft report with recommendations on relaxations and exemptions for the differently and specially-abled students.
Though the exact release date of the report is yet to be decided, the board is likely to submit it before the curriculum committee by the end of this year.
If the new norms come into effect, students with physical disabilities (visual, aural, speech impairment), intellectual disabilities, blood disorder, mental illness, neurological conditions etc. will be benefited. The IANS have quoted that, they are working on the draft report. Meanwhile, they have already implemented many relaxations for the Children With Special Needs (CWSN).
