Amrapali Group’s incomplete project hearing in Supreme Court today


In the incomplete project case of Amrapali Group, the Supreme Court will hear Tuesday (October 09). The bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra and Justice UU Lalit will hear the case. Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered the DRT to auction/sell 16 properties of Amrapali.

It is estimated that around 1600 crore will be collected from the sale of the property. This amount will be deposited in the bank present at the Supreme Court premises. The court had instructed Amrapali to open an account in the bank with the amount of 25 lakhs. Further, the Supreme Court will decide how this money is used in the construction of an incomplete project. The court directed the director of Amrapali to appear in front of the DRT on September 25, during which the Amrapali deposited all related documents to the DRT.

The Supreme Court had expressed displeasure that after 2015, why all accounts of 46 companies of Amrapali were not handed over to the court. It was instructed to hand over all the balance sheets of 10 days. The court had instructed the forecaster auditor to submit the report within 60 days to see how much money has been embezzled.
