Aadhar Helpline Pops Up In Our Phones But UIDAI Denies It’s Role In It

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) denied Friday that it constrained any cell phone producer or telecom specialist co-op to include a helpline number into individuals’ contact records. The elucidation came after many tweeted that they had discovered a UIDAI number added to their contacts list without their insight.

In an announcement that it tweeted, UIDAI said that the toll-free number 1800-300-1947 showing up in individuals’ contacts records was obsolete and invalid.

The announcement includes, “It is accentuated that the said 18003001947 is definitely not a substantial UIDAI Toll-free number and some personal stake are attempting to make ridiculous disarray in people in general.” The authority helpline number for Aadhaar is 1947, which has been practical throughout the previous two years. The Aadhaar-body keeps up it has not asked any Android producer or telecom organization to add the same to clients’ contacts list.
