80 Elite Commandos In Kashmir Valley For 6 Months On ‘Forced Holiday’


The National Security Guard is an Indian special forces unit under the Ministry of Home Affairs who protect the national security. The commandos are well trained Practised under the anti-terrorist operations and also handles the VIP security. This shows that NSG commandos is a task force especially counter for anti-terror Operations but one decision shook the faith of NSG commandos.

A senior officer reported, the 80 commandos have been posted in BSF campus Humhama near Srinagar airport for more than six months without any action planning and reduced the training in the valley this creates many questions in many minds so they knock the door of Home Ministry for the clarification.

The elite troop has not been part of any Anti-terror operation after being forced on holidays. According to the sources the 80 elite commandos sent to the valley on the suggestion of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval as security forces losing men in high risk – neutralizing holed up terrorist in Densely populated cities. The motive behind this is that commandos engage in real time circumstances this is all done as per the law and supervision.

There are many NSG commandos posted in the valley without any operation there are no guidelines they just said camping in Humhama campus.
