Turning 25 is a milestone. You’re no longer the teen that you were, you became an adult. What better way to arm yourself for this big step in your life, than some life-changing experiences. So if you are turning 25 this month, or in a couple of years, you cross these off the list for entering into your adult life.
- Understand who you really are
Instead of accepting what people want you to do or like an experiment and see for yourself. Make sure what makes you happy. Do those things and be good at those.
- Jump off a cliff
Take risks. I mean that as literally as possible. If you’re not living on the edge you’re occupying to much space. Risks help you to grow, expand and learn which is not experienced in a cocoon of “Safety”.
- Make friends with your parents
Understand their importance in your life, and yours in their life. They are roots. A tree can bear fruits only when its roots are strong.
- Travel to another Continent
“The World is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page”- St Augustine
Traveling, with the exposure to different climes, cultures, and peoples, broadens the mind, helps develop life skills, and makes for more open attitudes and tolerance. However open-minded you are, there’s nothing like experiencing a different way of life firsthand. It also furnishes you with some great dinner party stories!
- Fall in love
Fall in love. And I mean that crazy, can’t-live-without-you kind of love. This thing changes your core and changes everything you would ever think love would be like.
- Try an Adrenaline Sport.
You could try skydiving, white water rafting or bungee jumping. Pushing your comfort zone and trying something like this may terrify you, but you’ll feel immensely proud of overcoming your fear.
- Have a Good Conversation with Someone of a Different Faith or Belief to Your Own.
Conversations like this help us realize we’re not so different to other people, regardless of appearances.
- Stop doing things for the picture. Start doing things for the memories.
As you get older, you will have more commitments. The memories you create for priceless because you’ll always have the story to tell.
9. Travel alone
At least once travel alone in any place you like. It’s a technique of exploring yourself.
- Stop wasting so much time on the internet
This is a tough one. These days, it seems as though everyone is addicted to the internet. We use it to find information, keep in touch with friends…and most of the times just browse social media unconsciously…wasting plenty of time. Learn to set time limits for yourself. You could even try one completely internet-free day per week.
11. Learn to Cook
Learning to cook, if you haven’t already, can be fun, good for your health, and your bank balance. Trying new recipes and developing a repertoire of easy, simple and healthy meals is a great start.
12. Learn a foreign language
13. Health is Wealth!
Stay healthy. Do Exercise. Learn Meditation.
14.Read Read Read
Read as many books as you can. Choose topics of you own.
15.Learn that “No” is a complete sentence
The faster you can learn to say to no, the faster you can start living on your own terms. Saying no will liberate you.
